BTWWs, (posting from iPhone) I also pay about $30 for my dataplan with ATT but I think it's worth it because having the internets all the time everywhere is … Well I would feel empty if I ever went back to not having it so it's a compromise I'm willing to make now. I can see where smart phone companies may encourage this dataplan because of constant updates and things like that but, agree there should be plan choices without making it a mandatory thing. But in that case, you'd be better off getting a verizon ENV or something similar (Internet capable but not total smart phone). *$.02*
